Terms and Conditions

Online Orders

Traditionally, roses are only posted bare root from November to March but at C&K Jones, we will pot and post any rose at any time of the year (subject to availability). After all, a rose sent with a personalised message can make the ideal gift for Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, and sometimes a rose is the perfect way to symbolise grief.

It is our hope that the convenience and immediacy of a delivered rose in a pot with a personalised message will compensate for the relatively high cost of packaging and carriage.

Payment
All Cheques should be made payable to C & K Jones. Debit and credit cards are deducted at the time of your order.

No roses will be dispatched without payment upfront. Prices shown include VAT and we reserve the right to change them without notice. Current prices are those indicated and supercede all previous prices.

Wholesale Orders
All wholesale orders should be paid within 30 days. All roses remain the property of C & K Jones until account is paid in full.

Delivery
Our potted roses are dispatched on an overnight service (weekdays only), or can be delivered on a date you request. Bare root orders are usually delivered using a 3-5 day service.

We will do our very best to deliver on time but the service is not guaranteed and can be subject to conditions outside of our control.

We regularly deliver online bare root orders to UK (charges vary according to postcode for UK, Highlands and Islands(Scotland) and Northern Ireland). Cost of delivery to Europe and other parts of the world vary, and, for USA for instance, the correct import licenses are required. Cost to be agreed on an individual basis.

Please contact us by telephone (01829 740663) or email to arrange your overseas delivery.

Only Bare Root roses typically can be delivered outside UK (Potted Roses are NOT NORMALLY available for this service - for an important event, please enquire 01829 740663).

See Delivery Charges for current postage charges.

Export
Export orders will be treated case-by-case on a quotation basis, as documentation and carriage fees vary considerably. Upon receipt of order, we will advise by email the total cost.

It is not possible to extend our guarantee to roses supplied overseas as we cannot control the time spent in transit and customs.

Substitutes

No substitutes will be made if this is indicated. When substitutes are requested, Keith Jones will personally select varieties of equal merit and colour. No additional charge is made when substitutes are of greater value. It helps us greatly if you can list some preferred substitutes especially if ordering later in the season.

Guarantee

We pride ourselves on our efficiency and personal service, but of course all the best made plans sometimes go wrong. So please tell us promptly if anything seems amiss – we want to put it right. We know our plants are in good condition when leaving the Nursery, but if the fault is clearly ours and we are notified by the 1st July 2009 we will replace any of our plants failing to grow or establish themselves (except standards), also any of our plants untrue to name (a refund being made if replacement is not possible), providing that you return the problem plants to ourselves.

All goods must be inspected on arrival and should there be any cause for complaint, please notify us within three days of receipt.

No replacements or refunds can be given if loss is due to abnormal weather conditions, bad planting, lack of maintenance, neglect, planting in old rose beds and any other conditions beyond our control.

In the event of a refund or replacement you will need to send us either the plant or a dated photograph (at cost to the customer).

Return postage of problem plants is to be paid by yourself.

All descriptions, colours and heights described in our catalogue are as accurate as possible. We believe all goods grown and sold by us to be of the description and kind specified at the time of sale, but give no warranty, expressed or implied as to the growth or productiveness.

* PLANT BREEDERS RIGHTS

Please note that Roses marked with an asterisk are subject to Plant Breeder’s Rights. They may not be propagated for sale or sold except by the authority of the breeder or the holder of the rights. They are all newer varieties where a royalty is payable to the breeder, which is included in the price of the plant.
