| *Chris (Kirsan) Kirkham 1998 After my brother Chris's sudden death in 1990, I looked hard for a rose to name in his memory. This vigorous healthy climber has buds of a Hybrid Tea appearance which exhibit orange red shading on the outer petals until they open to huge rich yellow flowers with a lovely perfume reminiscent of the English style. As the blooms age they fade to a subtle creamy lemon before dropping cleanly. Produced in abundance on this desirable rose they begin at about knee level and cover the bush right up to its ultimate height of 8-10ft. Chris died at the age of 41 from a heart attack and because of that C&K Jones will make a donation of £1.50 to support the British Heart Foundation for each Chris rose we sell by mail order or through our retail business. This will contribute to the funding of work to fight Coronary Heart Disease. Long time friend and rose breeder of 25 years experience, Gordon Kirkham hybridised this everlasting beautiful memory to my brother. And don't forget we stock a convenient range of accessories now including, twine, secateurs and gloves. | ||
