 | *Velindre (M) Poole The robust Velindre hybrid tea is an upright energetic grower with large individual flowers produced on stout stems reaching about 3ft. Blooms are cherry pink with ochre pink reverse and the foliage is large and semi-glossy dark green. Unusually, new leaves are a distinctive purple red. The rose was named in connection with the Velindre Cancer hospital in Cardiff which will receive a donation from retail sales. Information: Hybrid Tea roses are created by cross-breeding two different types of roses. Grown one flower to long straight and upright stems, most can be as tall as 1.8 metres and are repeat flowering. Each flower can grow to 8-12.5 cm wide. Hybrid Teas are the world's most popular type of rose by choice due to their colour and flower form. With their elegant stems, Hybrid Teas have the advantage, over others, as cut flowers. | |
